From July to October, Nine Night Tourism Contents to Be Showcased in Jung-gu, Buk-gu, Saha-gu, and More
Busan City, in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization and the Busan Tourism Organization, will host the '2024 Byeolbada Busan Night Festa' from July 1 to October in Jung-gu, Buk-gu, Saha-gu, and other districts.
This event, which began in 2022 as part of the International Tourism City Night Tourism Project, marks its third year as a program to revitalize night tourism.
This year, the event will be expanded not only with international tourism city night tourism content but also as a specialized night tourism city project, which was selected through a Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism contest in February last year, making the program even richer.
The event will feature a total of nine programs held 133 times, including: the 'Night Mission Tour' taking place in the old downtown areas such as Gwangbok-dong; the 'Yongdusan Park Night Popup,' a night playground for the MZ generation at Yongdusan Park; the 'Night Music Camknic,' where visitors can enjoy healing music alongside Dadaepo’s sunset; and the themed night market 'Night Market,' set against the backdrop of the Geumbit Noeul Bridge and Hwamyeong Ecological Park nightscape.
First, the newly introduced urban night tour program, 'Night Mission Tour,' differs from traditional guided tours by featuring storytellers with unique characters who lead missions as participants explore historical landmarks of Busan’s modern and contemporary era, such as Gukje Market and Bupyeong Kkangtong Market.
At Yongdusan Park, a representative attraction in Busan’s old downtown, the 'Yongdusan Park Night Popup' will be held, creating a healing playground for the MZ generation by combining the classic night view with trendy nighttime activities.
In Dadaepo, visitors can enjoy the 'Night Music Camknic,' which will feature even more diverse content than last year, while the 'Night Market' near Buk-gu’s Geumbit Noeul Bridge will welcome tourists with a variety of sights and foods.
All nine programs will be held throughout the event period, and detailed schedules and participation methods can be found on the Busan tourism portal Visit Busan website or the city’s dedicated night tourism channels.
In particular, the '2024 Byeolbada Busan Night Festa' will run for four months, spanning the peak summer vacation period of July and August as well as the autumn festival season in September and October, and is expected to offer new experiences and attractions to both domestic and international visitors to Busan.
Park Geunrok, Director of Tourism and MICE at Busan City, stated, “We will showcase the charm of Busan, from starlit seas to moonlit cityscapes, through a variety of night tourism content,” adding, “We plan to continue developing night tourism programs so that visitors to Busan can stay longer and enjoy more of what the city has to offer.”
