Dobong-gu Introduces AI CCTV High-Speed Search System
Selected in Seoul City Contest, Full Operation Starting November
Facilitates Tracking of Vulnerable Missing Persons Like Dementia Patients and Children
Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) is introducing an 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) CCTV High-Speed Search System' to track missing persons in the area.
The district announced that it will complete the system construction by October this year, conduct a pilot operation, and then officially implement the system for tracking missing persons starting in November.
This system uses AI CCTV technology to enable tracking and analysis of movement paths through artificial intelligence analysis when socially vulnerable individuals such as dementia patients and children go missing.
A district official stated, "By inputting the missing person's appearance information, CCTV footage located near the missing person can be analyzed to quickly identify their location. This establishes a foundation to find missing persons within the golden time."
Previously, the district applied for the Seoul Metropolitan Government's 'AI CCTV High-Speed Search System Construction' project and secured 200 million KRW in project funds following the selection.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, "With the introduction and promotion of the 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) CCTV High-Speed Search System,' we expect to significantly reduce rescue time in finding the precious families of our residents," adding, "We will continue to do our best to create a safe urban environment where residents can live with peace of mind."
