Busan Port Authority (BPA) is accepting applications for the "Busan Port Partner Companies ESG Support Program" until the 11th of next month.
The "Partner Companies ESG Support Program" aims to foster a sustainable supply chain by enhancing ESG management awareness and strengthening ESG response capabilities among small and medium-sized partner companies of Busan Port.
This year, the program is open to small and medium-sized enterprises located in Busan and Gyeongnam. Companies that are tenants of the New Port hinterland complex or the International Ship Supplies Distribution Center, those with a record of using Busan Port facilities, or those engaged in port-related industries will receive an additional 5 points in the evaluation.
BPA will sign an agreement for the "Partner Companies ESG Support Program" with the Win-Win Growth Committee, a private expert consultative body in the field of mutual growth, on the 4th of next month, and will select 10 companies to receive support. The program will comprehensively provide diagnosis, consulting, on-site inspections, and training, with a total value of 50 million KRW.
ESG excellent companies with an indicator compliance rate of 80% or higher will receive various benefits, including issuance of an "ESG Excellent SME" certificate from the Win-Win Growth Committee, preferential interest rates from banks, priority participation in KOTRA's SME export support programs, and preferential participation in environmental and energy technology support programs from the Korea Institute of Energy Technology.
