Silla University (President Heo Namsik), together with Tongmyong University, signed a memorandum of understanding with 10 companies and institutions in the Blue Food sector of Busan's Future Well-Life industry to promote the Glocal University 30 initiative.
On the morning of the 25th at 10 a.m., an MOU signing ceremony was held at the International Protocol Room on the 7th floor of Busan City Hall, attended by Silla University President Heo Namsik, Busan Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs Kim Gwanghoe, Tongmyong University President Jeon Ho-hwan, and representatives from 10 blue food companies in Busan. The event proceeded in the following order: opening, introduction of participants, greetings from heads of institutions, introduction of the agreement, signing of the agreement, and commemorative photo session.
On this day, each institution agreed to: actively cooperate for the successful promotion of the Glocal University 30 project and smooth exchange and cooperation among partner organizations in the Future Well-Life (Blue Food sector); jointly develop and establish educational curricula and systems related to blue food education and training of professionals; closely cooperate and support on-site training and support for nurturing and developing blue food specialists; exchange and jointly utilize human, material, and informational resources for the development of high-quality blue food programs, policy development, and research; and actively participate in and establish an organic cooperation system for community development and social contribution through blue food. They pledged mutual cooperation for the successful promotion of the Glocal University 30 project and the cultivation and development of professionals in the blue food sector.
