The September Donghaeng Festival Runs from the 1st to the 28th
Opportunities for Product Promotion Also Provided
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 30th that it will select 300 companies to participate in the 'September Donghaeng Festival' through open recruitment and recommendations. The September Donghaeng Festival will be held from September 1 to 28.

Previously, a total of 1,163 companies (956 through open recruitment and 207 through recommendations) applied to participate in the May Donghaeng Festival via open recruitment and recommendations. The open recruitment recorded a competition rate of 4.78 to 1, which was 1.7 times higher than the previous year.
Like the May Donghaeng Festival, the September Donghaeng Festival will be divided into 200 companies through open recruitment and 100 companies through recommendations. For the recommendation selection, recommendations from metropolitan local governments will be added to showcase competitive small and medium-sized enterprises and small business products nationwide to consumers.
The selection method for open recruitment will be conducted online through the Panpandae website, as was done for the May Donghaeng Festival. Recommendation selections will be finalized through evaluations by private experts based on recommendations from central government ministries, local governments, and related associations and organizations.
The 300 selected companies will be provided with sales distribution channels, including participation in online and offline planned exhibitions to pioneer new domestic and overseas markets and diversify sales channels. Opportunities for product promotion will also be given.
Lee Jeong-hoon, Head of the Domestic Demand Activation Promotion Team at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, said, "Through the Donghaeng Festival, we hope to widely promote products from small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners with excellent competitiveness and provide them with opportunities for a new leap forward. In September, we will do our best to open a joyful and wise consumption venue for the public together with outstanding local companies."
Companies wishing to participate can apply on the Panpandae website from the 1st to the 14th of next month. Detailed information can be found in the notices on the website.
