Products from more than 10 companies, including Mugye Bio (fertilizer manufacturing), received a great response from over 40 local buyers in Vietnam at the export consultation meeting, leading to additional contracts (worth $7.5 million). This has paved the way for small and medium-sized enterprises in Yeongcheon City to enter the Southeast Asian market.
Additionally, on the 27th, the trade delegation signed a business agreement for mutual cooperation with the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, which was established in 1992 and is based in Hanoi, representing 10,000 companies.
At the signing ceremony, attended by Yeongcheon Mayor Choi Kimoon, city council member Kim Yongmoon, and others, the parties agreed to closely cooperate in various fields, including promoting economic exchange, providing global consulting for excellent local products and agricultural foods, and mutual exchange and promotion.
The Korean Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam was established in 1992 with its base in Hanoi, and currently has over 600 member companies.
For the past 30 years, it has been strengthening economic cooperation and trade between Korea and Vietnam, striving to communicate and resolve difficulties faced by Korean companies through activities with the Vietnamese government.
Yeongcheon Mayor Choi Kimoon stated, "Through this trade delegation, we were able to widely promote the outstanding products of local small and medium-sized enterprises in Southeast Asia and achieved results beyond expectations," adding, "Based on this project, Yeongcheon City will actively pursue the development of new markets and exchanges not only in Southeast Asia but also in the United States and Europe."
