Kim Kang-heon Elected as Chairman of the 9th Term Second Half of Yeonggwang County Council

The Yeonggwang County Council in Jeollanam-do held the 281st extraordinary session on the 28th and elected Kim Gang-heon of the Democratic Party (District Na) as the 9th term second half chairman. Jo Il-young (District Ga) was elected as the vice chairman.


Kim Han-gyun (District Na) was elected as the chair of the Council Operations Committee, Jeong Seon-woo (Proportional Representation) as the chair of the Autonomy and Administration Committee, and Lim Young-min (District Ga) as the chair of the Industry and Construction Committee.

The second half chairman and standing committee chairs will begin their terms on July 1 and lead the Yeonggwang County Council for two years.


Kim Gang-heon, the elected chairman of the Yeonggwang County Council, said, "We will strive to become a council that gets closer to the residents," and added, "We will work to enhance the status of the Yeonggwang County Council through thorough monitoring and checks on the executive branch."


The Yeonggwang County Council plans to hold the 282nd extraordinary session from July 11 to 24 for 14 days, during which it will actively engage in council activities such as listening to reports on major tasks from the first half of the year and reviewing agenda items.
