Key management sites are fire targets that require special management due to the high risk of significant human and property damage in the event of a fire. Jeonnam Fire currently manages 305 such locations.

Shipyards, by nature, handle large quantities of hazardous materials and frequently use fire-related operations such as welding and cutting, making the fire risk very high. In case of fire, they can cause not only economic losses but also human casualties and environmental pollution.

Head Oh listened to the status of the shipyard from HD Hyundai Samho officials and personally inspected major firefighting facilities such as outdoor fire hydrants.

He then checked the overall fire safety management status, including the maintenance of firefighting facilities and the in-house firefighting team.

Oh Seung-hoon said, “We focused on enhancing the safety of key management sites in the province and preventing large-scale fires in advance. We plan to strengthen safety through continuous field guidance.”

Meanwhile, on the same day, Head Oh visited Yeongam Fire Station, received a report on the major business promotion plan for the second half of the year from Chief Kim Jae-seung, and commended the staff for their hard work.
