Department of Speech and Hearing Therapy at Daegu Catholic University Selected as Excellent Clinical Training Institution

The Department of Speech-Language and Hearing Therapy at Daegu Catholic University announced on the 28th that it has been selected as an "Outstanding Clinical Practice Institution" by the Korean Association of Language Rehabilitation Specialists.

This selection is based on the results of the practicum management inspection conducted last February by the Korean Association of Language Rehabilitation Specialists targeting universities and graduate schools nationwide with speech therapy majors. The initiative aims to promote the legislation of practicum certification for language rehabilitation specialists, enhance student expertise, and provide high-quality treatment for communication disorders.

The Department of Speech-Language and Hearing Therapy was selected as an "Outstanding Clinical Practice Institution" for its facilities and scale of practice rooms, availability of assessment tools and therapy materials, supervision status, and management and operation of practicum reports. On the 18th, a plaque was presented and a commemorative ceremony was held.

Choi Seonghee, head of the Department of Speech-Language and Hearing Therapy at Daegu Catholic University, said, "We are doing our best to ensure that students can learn problem-solving skills in real-world settings through the best clinical practice facilities equipped with the latest devices, equipment, and assessment tools."

This selection is the result of the expertise and efforts of the Department of Speech-Language and Hearing Therapy at Daegu Catholic University and is expected to make a significant contribution to improving the quality of language therapy education and fostering specialists in Korea in the future.
