Inspection of Safety Personnel Deployment and Facility Equipment Status at Yeosu Ungcheon Beach
Kim Inchang, Commissioner of the Seohae Regional Coast Guard, visited Yeosu Ungcheon Beach on the 28th to conduct a joint safety inspection ahead of the beach's opening.
Together with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and related agencies, they reviewed the current status and checked safety facilities such as signboards, lifebuoys, rescue equipment, the deployment of safety personnel, and the designation of swimming zones to prevent water-related accidents.

Commissioner Kim said, "With the summer season approaching, beaches nationwide are either about to open or already open, and accordingly, the Coast Guard is strengthening coastal patrol activities to prepare for safety accidents. It is important to prevent incidents in advance for the safety of the public, and the Coast Guard will do its best to support a comfortable summer vacation for the public through thorough preparation and inspection without negligence."
Meanwhile, Yeosu Ungcheon Beach is scheduled to open on July 6, and Byeonsan and Gyeokpo Beaches in the Jeonbuk region are set to open on August 5.
As the opening dates of beaches approach, the Coast Guard's safety inspections and preparedness activities are being further strengthened, raising expectations that the public will be able to enjoy a safe summer vacation at the beach.
