President Kang Junseok Personally Inspects Bukhang Waterfront Area
Busan Port Authority (BPA) conducted a thorough safety inspection of the facilities at the North Port waterfront area, including the Dongsamdong Mullyang Pier and Cheonghak Quay in Yeongdo-gu, on the 27th to prepare for summer storm and flood disasters.
The Dongsamdong Mullyang Pier, a mooring facility for small vessels, is equipped with a breakwater and a lighthouse, making it a popular spot for citizens to take walks or go fishing.
On this day, President Kang Junseok and staff from relevant departments carefully examined all safety facilities, such as life-saving equipment boxes and fall prevention warning signs, to ensure there were no risk factors. Any issues identified during the inspection will be addressed with countermeasures to prevent accidents in advance.
The inspection team also visited the staff rest facilities used by employees of partner companies responsible for managing Dongsamdong Mullyang Pier and Cheonghak Quay. They checked the availability and use of items to prevent heat-related illnesses, such as air conditioning and ice vests, as well as compliance with the three key rules for heat illness prevention (water, shade, rest).
Kang Junseok, President of BPA, emphasized, "Please make every effort to manage the facilities so that there is no inconvenience or safety accidents for citizens visiting the Busan Port waterfront, and pay special attention to the health management of partner company field workers."
