Choi Yoon-jung, head of business development at SK Biopharm and eldest daughter of SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won, will attend the group management strategy meeting held from the 28th to the 29th. This is the first time Choi has participated in the management strategy meeting, which is interpreted as part of her "management training."

According to the business community on the 28th, Choi will be the only vice president-level executive attending the 2024 management strategy meeting held at the SKMS Research Institute in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province.

As an executive in charge of the group’s bio business, Choi is expected to provide opinions during discussions related to the bio sector.

Choi majored in biology at the University of Chicago and worked as a researcher at the University of Chicago Brain Science Institute and as a consultant at Bain & Company before joining SK Biopharm in 2017 as a senior manager in the strategy team of the management strategy office. She was promoted to head of the strategic investment team in the global investment division of SK Biopharm in January last year and became an executive in the year-end personnel reshuffle.

The management strategy meeting, which runs until the 29th, will be attended by about 30 people including Chairman Choi, Choi Jae-won, Senior Vice Chairman of SK Innovation, Choi Chang-won, Chairman of the SK Supex Council, and CEOs of major affiliates such as SK Inc., SK Innovation, SK Telecom, and SK Hynix. Chairman Choi Tae-won, currently on a business trip in the United States, is expected to participate via video conference.

Participants plan to discuss specific strategies and methods to secure investment resources for future growth businesses, led by artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductors, at this meeting.
