The event was organized together with the Small and Medium Business Corporation. Five institutions participated as general implementing agencies for the Export Voucher Project: the Korea Standards Association, Korea Conformity Laboratories, Korea Institute of Patent and Technology Promotion, Korea Institute of Design Promotion, and Korea International Freight Forwarders Association.
The council mainly discussed the newly revised system for selecting implementing agencies (service providers) and measures to manage misconduct by implementing agencies. They also shared the achievements of the Export Voucher Project in the first half of this year and best practices of implementing agencies, and exchanged opinions on collaboration methods among institutions to expand outcomes.
The general implementing agencies for the Export Voucher Project were introduced to enhance the expertise of the project and prevent fraudulent receipt of government subsidies. Currently, specialized institutions in five fields?consulting, overseas certification, patents, intellectual property rights, design, and international transportation?are operating as general implementing agencies. These agencies improve the system of the Export Voucher Project and manage the quality of services provided by implementing agencies. This year, over 2,200 companies are participating as implementing agencies, providing more than 7,900 services to participating companies. KOTRA and the Small and Medium Business Corporation continuously recruit implementing agencies for the Export Voucher Project. New implementing agencies are selected every two months (in odd-numbered months).
Jeon Chun-woo, Vice President of KOTRA and Head of the Small and Medium Enterprise Division, said, "As interest in the export voucher among our small and medium enterprises continues to grow day by day, we plan to strengthen the expertise of the project in cooperation with the general implementing agencies to create a more helpful Export Voucher Project."
