The General Insurance Association Appoints Oh Hong-joo, Former Financial Supervisory Service Director, as New Executive Director

The General Insurance Association announced on the 28th that it has appointed Oh Hong-ju, former Insurance Supervision Advisor at the Financial Supervisory Service, as the new Executive Director. Oh's term will begin on the 1st of next month.

Born in 1965, Oh graduated from Geumseong High School and Seoul National University with a degree in Business Administration, and earned a master's degree in law from Sungkyunkwan University. Since joining the Insurance Supervisory Service in 1991, he has served as Director of the Non-life Insurance Inspection Bureau, Director of the Insurance Audit Bureau, and Director General of Financial Consumer Protection.
