Dongseo University Successfully Holds Awards Ceremony for the 29th Dongseo Design and Art Practical Competition

Grand Prize: Kim Nayoung, Graduate of Mandeok High School; Gold Prize: Jeon Minjung, Third-Year Student at Masan Girls' High School

Dongseo University (President Jang Jeguk) recently held the 29th Dongseo Design Art Practical Competition Awards Ceremony at the Design Hall Media Art Gallery.

Approximately 50 people, including Jang Jooyoung, Dean of the College of Design, Lee Donghun, Dean of the College of Media Contents, awardees and their families, and supervising teachers, attended the ceremony.


The 29th Dongseo Design Art Practical Competition saw fierce competition among 849 high school students from across the country (including February graduates). The grand prize (Dongseo Academy Chairman's Award) was awarded to Kim Nayoung (Mandeok High School), who participated in the Basic Design category.


The Gold Prize (President's Award) was received by Jeon Minjeong (Masan Girls' High School), while four students received the Silver Prize and thirteen students received the Bronze Prize.


The awardees received many special benefits. The Grand Prize winner is granted a four-year tuition waiver and a 10% bonus on their practical exam score. The Gold Prize winner receives a two-year tuition waiver and a 10% bonus on their practical exam score.


Additionally, Silver Prize winners receive a one-year tuition waiver and a 10% bonus on their practical exam score, while Bronze Prize winners are granted a one-semester tuition waiver and a 5% bonus on their practical exam score.


Kim Nayoung, the Grand Prize recipient, shared her thoughts: "While preparing for college entrance exams for quite a long time, I often doubted my abilities, but receiving such a significant award gave me the encouragement I needed. I sincerely thank the professors who evaluated my work so positively, and with the motivation I gained, I will work even harder to achieve the results I desire."


In his congratulatory remarks, Jang Jooyoung, Dean of the College of Design, stated, "I welcome all attendees to the awards ceremony for the Design Art Practical Competition hosted by Dongseo University, a leader in innovative, future-oriented education specializing in design, digital content, and film. I especially hope that the awardees, having been recognized for their talents today, will grow into creative talents with their own unique colors as The Only One, and that this will be a turning point for them to dream of a bright future."
