The Gyeongnam Eastern Branch of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs held a ceremony on the 28th at the Government Gyeongnam Regional Joint Office Building to deliver consolation gifts to the families of patriots and veterans in commemoration of Patriots and Veterans Month, together with Shinhwa Steel and the Gyeongsangnam-do Branch of the Korean Red Cross.
Shinhwa Steel expressed its intention to donate to the Gyeongsangnam-do Branch of the Korean Red Cross, wishing for a cool summer for the Korean War veterans and their bereaved families in preparation for the heat wave.
Accordingly, 125 electric fans (worth about 10 million KRW) were delivered to the Gyeongnam Eastern Branch of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, and these gifts will be provided to elderly Korean War veterans and their bereaved families who are struggling with their livelihood.
Jung Hyunsook, CEO, said, "We are grateful for the sacrifice and dedication of the Korean War veterans. We hope you have a cool and healthy summer despite the early heat."
Cho Kyungchul, Director of the Gyeongnam Eastern Branch of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, said, "We deeply appreciate Shinhwa Steel's interest in and support for the families of patriots and veterans," and added, "I believe that this support will further spread a culture of respect and honor for the recipients of national merit, and I hope that 'living patriots and veterans affairs in daily life, patriots and veterans affairs for everyone' will take root throughout our society."
