Recruitment of 2,026 Residents for Happy Housing in Godeokgangil and Banghwa-dong

SH Corporation to Accept Online Applications from July 10 to 12

Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation is recruiting tenants for 2,026 Happy Housing units in Godeok Gangil 2 Block, Banghwa-dong, and other locations.

On the 28th, SH Corporation announced that applications for Happy Housing will be accepted on the SH Internet Subscription website from July 10 to 12. The tenant recruitment announcement will be posted on the website at 4 p.m. on the 28th.

Happy Housing is public rental housing supplied at 60-80% of the surrounding market price, targeting youth, newlyweds, and the elderly. University students and youth can reside for up to 6 years, newlyweds with children for up to 10 years, and the elderly for up to 20 years.

This supply targets 795 units in new complexes such as Godeok Gangil 2 Block, 331 remaining vacant units due to existing tenants moving out or contract cancellations, and 900 units for prospective tenants.

The average deposit and monthly rent by area for Happy Housing are as follows: ▲up to 29㎡ - deposit 56.82 million KRW, rent 230,000 KRW ▲up to 39㎡ - deposit 103.6 million KRW, rent 400,000 KRW ▲up to 49㎡ - deposit 144.4 million KRW, rent 550,000 KRW ▲up to 59㎡ - deposit 172 million KRW, rent 670,000 KRW.

Eligibility requires applicants to be members of a household without homeownership as of the tenant recruitment announcement date (June 28), with a monthly average income at or below 100% of the previous year's urban worker household income by household size. Total household assets must be 345 million KRW or less, and the value of owned vehicles must be 37.08 million KRW or less. Eligibility criteria may vary depending on the supply target, so detailed information should be checked in the announcement.

Existing Happy Housing tenants can reapply for other Happy Housing units within the same supply category. The total residence period across all Happy Housing units will be combined and subject to the maximum residence period limit for each supply category.

Internet applications will be accepted from July 10 to 12. Elderly or disabled applicants who have difficulty applying online can visit the corporation on July 11 and 12 to apply in person. Document screening candidates will be announced on July 26, and successful applicants will be announced on November 22. Move-in is possible from January 2025, although the move-in date may vary by complex.
