On the 27th, several social networking services (SNS) and online communities posted videos and photos of Son Heung-min enjoying football with citizens at the futsal court. Mr. A, who first wrote the eyewitness account, said, "I went to play football at the Achasan futsal court in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, as usual, and ended up playing with Son Heung-min."

Mr. A said, "I arrived at the Achasan football field at 9 p.m. on Thursday, and there were so many people that I thought, 'Is this place always this crowded?' The traffic was also heavily congested." He added, "One of my companions said, 'Son Heung-min is here,' and at first, I laughed it off, but Son Heung-min was really there. Even elementary school children and elderly people were extremely happy. It seemed like more than 600 people gathered."

Mr. A continued, "I was really jealous of the team playing against Son Heung-min. I wondered if I would ever get a chance in my lifetime to kick the ball with an active Premier League star at his prime." He said, "A few minutes later, the captain's phone rang, and Son Heung-min said he wanted to play more. He wanted to play two 15-minute matches with the two teams scheduled for the 9 p.m. slot. The captain said he would discuss it with the team, but the team members immediately agreed, saying, 'What is there to discuss?'"

He added, "In the end, I played football with Son Heung-min for 15 minutes that felt like one minute. Even though Son Heung-min played on the short artificial turf for two and a half hours, he gave his best effort." He said, "It was truly moving. He greeted everyone. Netizen B, who watched the game behind the fence that day, marveled on X (formerly Twitter), "(Son Heung-min's) dribbling is so fast that only afterimages are visible." In the photo posted by B, the citizen standing in front of Son Heung-min is fully visible, while Son Heung-min is running so fast that he is not clearly captured in the photo.

Meanwhile, on the 26th, Son Woong-jung, the father of Son Heung-min and the head coach of the 'SON Football Academy,' along with other coaching staff, were accused of child abuse, including verbal abuse and corporal punishment of youth players belonging to the academy. The Gangwon Provincial Police Agency, which investigated the case, announced that three people including Coach Son were sent to the prosecution around mid-April.

The victim child, Mr. C, claimed that he was physically assaulted on the back of his thighs and other areas by Coach Son Woong-jung and the coaching staff. However, Son Woong-jung's side stated, "After the incident, the academy apologized to the complainant and tried to resolve the matter amicably, but the complainant demanded billions of won in settlement money, which the academy could not accept, so unfortunately, no agreement was reached."
