3.14 Million Women Entrepreneurs' 'Women’s Week' Opens Tomorrow: "On the Global Stage"

The Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association announced on the 30th that it will hold the '3rd Women Entrepreneurs Week' from the 1st to the 5th of next month. Women Entrepreneurs Week is an event held annually during the first week of July based on the Act on Support for Women-Owned Businesses.

The theme for this year's Women Entrepreneurs Week is "K-Women Entrepreneurs Opening New Opportunities on the Global Stage." It reflects the commitment to creating a platform for strengthening the global capabilities of women-owned businesses and expanding exports.

During the event period, a total of 55 diverse programs will be conducted both online and offline across 19 regions nationwide, including Seoul. The programs are organized into four categories: market expansion and joint purchasing, communication and policy, startup and job creation, and regional events.

The opening ceremony, marking the official start of the event, will be held on the 1st at the Seoul Shilla Hotel located in Jung-gu, Seoul. It will include awards for meritorious women entrepreneurs, participation from women export companies, and women entrepreneurs aspiring to export. On the 2nd, a Women CEOs Luncheon Forum will take place, followed by the Women Startup Competition Awards Ceremony on the 3rd. On the 5th, the 'LH (Korea Land & Housing Corporation) - Women Entrepreneurs Win-Win Cooperation Meeting and Purchase Consultation' will explore ways to foster mutual cooperation.

Additionally, during the event week, there will be a Women Entrepreneurs Excellent Products Win-Win Exhibition, Women Entrepreneurs Job Hub Matching Day, Women Entrepreneurs Market Expansion Capacity Building Education, and Customized MD Consultation Sessions.

Even after the official Women Entrepreneurs Week, events and programs involving local women entrepreneurs and citizens will continue until the end of July in 19 regions nationwide, including the Women Entrepreneurs Conference, excellent product sales promotions, charity bazaars, expert lectures, and management difficulty consultations.

Lee Jeong-han, President of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association, stated, "Women-owned businesses, which account for more than 40% of all companies and have grown into a pillar of the national economy, must look toward globalization. Through Women Entrepreneurs Week, I hope many women entrepreneurs will take on the challenge of overseas expansion and reach a turning point for growth."
