Promotion of M&A between Domestic Venture Companies and Japanese Companies

The Korea Venture Business Association is launching a platform to revitalize mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions for venture companies.

On the 28th, the Korea Venture Business Association announced that it will officially operate the "Venture Company M&A Platform" starting from the 1st of next month in collaboration with the Korea M&A Exchange. This platform is exclusively designed for venture companies and was jointly developed by the Korea Venture Business Association and the Korea M&A Exchange to support the activation of M&A transactions for venture companies.

Through this cooperation, the association and the exchange expect to stimulate private-led M&A transactions. The Korea M&A Exchange holds information on approximately 10,000 M&A transactions to date, while the Korea Venture Business Association supports over 40,000 venture companies. Based on this, they plan to continuously collaborate to create an optimal environment from discovering venture companies interested in buying or selling through M&A, to matching and successfully completing transactions.

Sung Sang-yeop, chairman of the Korea Venture Business Association, stated, "We will continuously contribute to the activation of private-led M&A to vitalize the exit market, an indispensable element for the virtuous cycle of the venture ecosystem."
