LG Energy Solution Publishes ESG Report 2023

LG Energy Solution announced on the 28th that it has published an ESG report detailing its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management activities and achievements from last year.

This report includes various ESG management achievements of LG Energy Solution, such as ▲distribution of the Carbon Neutrality Guidelines for Partner Companies ▲establishment of a Biodiversity Policy ▲creation of an Antitrust Prevention Guidebook.

In August of last year, LG Energy Solution established and distributed the 'Carbon Neutrality Guidelines for Partner Companies.' The guidelines specify compliance requirements such as building carbon neutrality governance and setting targets for partner companies, as well as responsibilities and roles to respond to EU battery regulations.

A representative from LG Energy Solution stated, "By 2030, all primary partner companies are expected to switch 100% of the electricity used in raw material and component production processes to renewable energy."

Additionally, LG Energy Solution established a 'Biodiversity Policy' last April as part of its ESG strategic tasks to protect biodiversity. The company plans to continuously manage this by establishing strategies and processes for biodiversity protection going forward.

Efforts to build a fair trade system are also being strengthened. Last year, an antitrust prevention guidebook was created and distributed to overseas subsidiaries, including those in Poland and the United States, as well as the headquarters, to ensure compliance with each country's fair trade laws. Fair trade-related training for employees is actively conducted, with a total of 3,760 hours of training provided last year.
