Floor Leader Chu, who had tendered his resignation on the 24th taking responsibility for the negotiations on the formation of the 22nd National Assembly, appeared after about three days of going into hiding on Baengnyeongdo Island, Incheon. To persuade Floor Leader Chu to return to the floor, Jeong Jeom-sik, Chairman of the Policy Committee, Bae Jun-young, Deputy Floor Leader, Shin Sung-beom, Chairman of the Intelligence Committee, Lee In-seon, Chairwoman of the Women and Family Committee, and lawmakers Kim Jong-yang, Park Soo-min, Han Ji-a, Park Jun-tae, and Woo Jae-jun visited Incheon.

On that day, Floor Leader Chu met with reporters at the Incheon Coastal Passenger Terminal and said, "I have nothing to say right now (about whether I will return as floor leader)" and added, "I am thinking a lot." He continued, "Since the lawmakers have come now, I will listen to what they have to say and organize my thoughts," and stated, "Whether publicly or privately, I will share my position."

On the same day, the People Power Party held a party meeting and decided to meet with Floor Leader Chu Kyung-ho, who had expressed his intention to resign, to urge his prompt return to the floor.

Chairman Jeong of the Policy Committee said, "By the unanimous decision of all attending lawmakers, we urge Floor Leader Chu to return promptly, and Deputy Floor Leader Bae Jun-young and I will meet with Floor Leader Chu to convey the lawmakers' intentions."
