On the 27th, Yonhap News, citing the Icheon Police Station, reported, "At around 9:15 a.m. that day, a woman in her 60s, identified as Ms. A, was struck on the head by a flying golf ball at a golf course located in Moga-myeon and collapsed." The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident by questioning witnesses and golf course officials.

Meanwhile, the Korea Economic Daily reported that the golf course where the accident occurred was also the site of another incident on the 18th of last month, where a cart carrying passengers fell down a 1.5-meter-high slope, injuring two users. According to the newspaper, the users boarded the cart after finishing their tee shots, and the cart reportedly fell down the downhill slope immediately after the users got on. As a result of this accident, two users sustained bruises on their faces and bodies and serious injuries to their legs.

Following the incident, the users claim that the cause of the accident was due to mechanical failure and the caddie's negligence, while the golf course argues that the users operated the cart themselves, leading to a dispute.
