The proportion of elderly people aged 65 or older among the environmental cleanup job participants reaches 88%, and due to the nature of the participants, it was determined that preemptive measures against health risk factors are necessary.

Originally, the working hours were from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., but they will be adjusted to flexibly operate from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. In case of weather alerts (such as heatwave advisories or warnings), outdoor activities will be immediately suspended and replaced with indoor safety education or voluntary rest.

This disabled persons' job (environmental cleanup) project, which is implementing flexible operation during the heat season, is a pledge project of the 8th local government administration, with about 100 participants in total, significantly contributing to the employment and livelihood stability of disabled persons in the region.

A county official said, “In addition to the disabled persons' job project, our county posts ‘Corporate Disabled Employment Information’ provided by the Korea Disabled People's Development Institute twice a month on the Hwasun County Office website (personnel recruitment bulletin board) to promote the social advancement of disabled persons. We encourage many people interested in job seeking to apply.”
