In particular, after attending the forum, Mayor Park visited the National Assembly to propose the swift passage of the "Special Act on the Construction and Development of the Aerospace Complex City" for the successful settlement of the Korea Aerospace Administration and Korea's leap to become a global aerospace powerhouse.

On this day, he met consecutively with lawmakers Seo Chunho, Um Taeyoung, Kwon Youngse, and others to emphasize the necessity of building the aerospace complex city and requested active support and cooperation.

Mayor Park Dongsik said, "Our city is keenly aware that the Korean aerospace industry is facing a very important moment," and added, "We will continue our efforts to contribute to the advancement of the aerospace industry through the creation of the aerospace complex city."

Meanwhile, to expedite the construction of the aerospace complex city, the city established a basic urban development plan linked to the Korea Aerospace Administration in December 2023, and in February this year, identified 87 pending projects in 10 sectors, including transportation, industry and economy, and education and welfare.

Sacheon City is also preparing to establish a basic plan for fostering the future aerospace industry within this year, as well as a city development plan for the creation of an Aerospace Valley to accommodate these initiatives.
