Busan Office of Education to Enhance Understanding of 2022 Revised Curriculum

Training for Secondary Education Professionals... Stable On-site Application of Curriculum

The Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yoonsoo) will hold the ‘2022 Revised Curriculum Training for Education Professionals’ on the 28th at the medium auditorium of the Busan Metropolitan City Education Training Institute, targeting approximately 150 secondary education professionals.

This training is designed to enhance the understanding of education professionals for the stable implementation of the revised curriculum by providing guidance on the key contents of the 2022 revised curriculum.

During this training, Dr. Lee Seungmi from the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation, as well as supervisors Bin Jihyun and Joo Mungyeong from the City Office of Education, will each give lectures on the following topics: ▲Understanding the 2022 Revised Curriculum General Principles ▲Key Revisions in the 2022 Revised Curriculum for Middle Schools ▲Understanding the High School Curriculum in Light of the Full Implementation of the High School Credit System.

Ha Yoonsoo, Superintendent of the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education, stated, “This training will enhance the capabilities of education professionals so that the revised curriculum can be stably established and applied in educational settings,” and added, “The Office of Education will spare no effort in supporting students so they can nurture their dreams and find their desired career paths within the new curriculum.”

The 2022 revised curriculum, which will be applied starting with first-year middle and high school students in the 2025 academic year, is expected to bring significant changes to schools, such as the operation of autonomous school hours in middle schools and the full implementation of the high school credit system.
