Jo Guk, leader of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, on the 27th, regarding the suspicion of external pressure in the Marine Corps personnel death incident, stated, "It has been confirmed that even the 'President's inner circle' rolled up their sleeves," urging a thorough investigation of President Yoon and his closest aides.

On the same day, Jo posted on his Facebook that Kang Eegu, Chief of the Presidential Secretariat's Office, had nine phone calls with Lim Gihoon, National Security Office Defense Secretary, who was the 'key man' in the incident on the day of the 'VIP rage rumor,' citing media reports. Jo emphasized, "From my experience working at the Blue House, it is unusual for the Chief of the Secretariat to communicate with a secretary as part of their duties," and added, "This could not have happened without the President's orders."
He claimed, "Now all evidence points to President Yoon," and stated, "He has not been indicted only because he is currently in office; if he were not, his personal phone would have been immediately seized and he would have been summoned for investigation."
He continued, "A thorough investigation of Kang Eegu and other close aides of President Yoon should reveal the President's unconstitutional behavior in detail."
Meanwhile, Kang, a former prosecutor investigator, is known to have known President Yoon for over 20 years. After President Yoon was elected, Kang was appointed as Chief of the Presidential Secretariat's Office, a vice-ministerial level position.
