Exhibition of Bespoke Appliances Evolved with AI Features and Screens
Samsung Electronics announced on the 27th that it will participate in the '2024 Gwangju Future Industry Expo' held at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center in Gwangju Metropolitan City until the 29th, showcasing 'BESPOKE' home appliances equipped with various artificial intelligence (AI) features.
At this exhibition, Samsung Electronics will introduce home appliance experiences themed around AI technology, AI energy saving, and BESPOKE AI experiences.
First, in the 'AI Technology' space located at the center of the exhibition hall, Samsung Electronics will present a connected experience that monitors and controls home appliances connected to Samsung's integrated home appliance connection platform, 'SmartThings,' through a single screen. Following the 'BESPOKE AI Family Hub' refrigerator, this year Samsung has equipped the all-in-one washer-dryer 'BESPOKE AI Combo' with an LCD touchscreen, providing a more convenient home appliance control solution through the screen.

In the 'AI Energy Saving' zone, solutions that enable easy energy savings based on AI are introduced. Energy-saving features such as 'AI Saving Mode,' which saves power according to consumer usage patterns and manages the energy of connected devices integrally, 'Custom Reservation,' and 'Optimal Charging,' which optimally control devices during hours of low carbon intensity, are showcased.
In the 'Sustainable Future' zone, the 'BESPOKE AI Hybrid' refrigerator, which applies a Peltier element, a type of semiconductor, to provide an efficient cooling solution, and the 'Infinite AI Cube Air' air purifier, which can be cleaned and used without regularly replacing filters, are exhibited.
Additionally, in the 'BESPOKE AI Kitchen' zone, visitors can experience the 'AI Vision Inside' food recognition feature installed in the BESPOKE AI Family Hub refrigerator, as well as the 'Samsung Food AI Vision' function, which analyzes the ingredients inside a dish from just one photo of the food and recommends similar recipes.
Choi Ik-soo, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Device Solutions (DA) Division, said, "Samsung Electronics is providing an enhanced connected experience by expanding AI functions and home appliances equipped with screens that make consumers' daily lives more convenient," adding, "We will continue to strengthen the formula of 'AI Home Appliances = Samsung' by offering various AI solutions based on SmartThings."
