Eight out of ten Songpa-gu residents expressed satisfaction with the 'Serving Administration' initiative, a key focus of Songpa-gu's policies.
Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) conducted the '2024 2nd Quarter Songpa-gu Resident Opinion Survey' to assess satisfaction with the district's administration on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of the 8th elected term.
The survey was conducted via Seoul's M-Voting online platform targeting residents who agreed to receive Songpa-gu notification messages. A total of 4,320 residents participated over one week from June 17 to 23.
First, 83.3% responded that they were "satisfied" with the administration that "serves residents as the owners." This indicates strong public agreement with the changes in Songpa-gu under the 8th elected term centered on the 'Serving Administration' approach.
High expectations were also shown for the core pledge project, the 'Creation of a Premium Street on Songpa-daero.'
Regarding the contribution to urban brand value and local economic revitalization, 87.5% answered that it "helps." Over the past two years, the district has provided free performances across various genres such as theater, ballet, and opera, and showcased high-quality stages through events like the Lake Cherry Blossom Festival and the Hanseong Baekje Cultural Festival, which is believed to have enhanced residents' experience.
In particular, there was high anticipation for the creation of everyday health and relaxation spaces. For the 'Tancheon Riverside Ipop Tree Road' and the 'Songpa Barefoot Earthing Trail,' 93.7% and 85.8% respectively expressed "expectation."
Over the past two years, the projects that residents were most satisfied with included ▲ rapid promotion of redevelopment and reconstruction (23.9%), ▲ the first village bus launch in Songpa-gu (21.2%), ▲ one-stop permit services (19.1%), and ▲ resolution of party banner proliferation (13.6%).

The district plans to use the results of this survey as foundational data for policy implementation during the remaining term.
Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, stated, "Now, 'Serving Administration' has become the brand of Songpa-gu's administration and is receiving positive evaluations from residents. We will continue to serve residents with unwavering dedication and strive to complete the creation of a premium city, Songpa, during the remaining term."
