Daegu Catholic University awarded an honorary doctorate in political science to Bae Hancheol, Chairman of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Council, on the 26th.

Daegu Catholic University is awarding an honorary Doctorate in Political Science to Hancheol Bae, Chairman of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Council (center), and taking a commemorative photo.

Daegu Catholic University highly praised Chairman Bae Hancheol for his contributions to regional economic development and improvements in the educational environment.

Bae Hancheol, member of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Council, said, "I sincerely thank everyone present here today," and added, "It is a great honor to receive an honorary doctorate, and I will continue to work harder for the region in the future."

Chairman Bae Hancheol was first elected in the 3rd nationwide local elections in 2002, served as a member of the Gyeongsan City Council, and since 2013 has been a member of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Council. Over a total of seven terms and 22 years, he has carried out diverse and extensive legislative activities as a member of both basic and metropolitan councils.
