At this appointment ceremony, 12 new members from various professions such as CEOs of companies in the Shinan area, company employees, administrative officers, agriculture and fisheries, and self-employed individuals were newly appointed to help North Korean defectors who are having difficulties settling in society. It was a meaningful occasion to discuss support measures for marginalized groups as part of the participation in security for North Korean defectors.

Along with the appointment ceremony for the 12 new members, the event served as an opportunity to confirm the members' commitment to helping North Korean defectors and vulnerable groups in need within Shinan County and to foster unity among them.

Chief Lee Eulsin said, “Congratulations on being selected as new members of the Shinan Police Station Security Advisory Council. The number of members has reached 35, and I thank you for joining us.” He added, “I appreciate the council’s dedication and contribution not only to the stable settlement of five North Korean defectors in the Shinan area but also to helping the vulnerable marginalized groups.” He also requested continued interest and cooperation in the future.

He further stated, “I ask for your continued interest and cooperation,” and added, “We will become the Shinan Police that wholeheartedly serves and stands together with the residents.”
