'2024 Lotte Open' to be held on July 4 in Cheongna, Incheon... Discounted tickets for Incheon residents

The '2024 Lotte Open,' sponsored by Incheon City and the Incheon Tourism Organization, will be held from the 4th to the 7th of next month at Bears Best Cheongna Golf Club in Seo-gu, Incheon.

Hosted by Lotte and organized by the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Tour (KLPGT), this tournament has been merged with the Lotte Rent-a-Car Ladies Open starting this year. The prize money (total prize money approximately 1.2 billion KRW, winner's prize 216 million KRW) has increased by 50% compared to last year.

As the tournament is held with the largest prize money in its history, the lineup of players is also impressive. A total of 132 players will participate, including Kim Hyo-joo and Choi Hye-jin, who are actively competing on the U.S. Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour as members of the Lotte Golf Team, as well as Lee So-young and Hwang Yu-min, who have maintained strong momentum in the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) by achieving two consecutive wins in the golf club competition. Last year's winner of this tournament was Choi Hye-jin.

The Lotte Open also prepares abundant events for the gallery, operating the Lotte Pleasure Hall (18th hole), a gallery-friendly viewing culture where spectators can cheer together with cheering sticks and launch various prizes using gift guns.

Additionally, a kids experience zone is set up near the tournament venue where families with young children can enjoy activities such as cotton candy making, SNAG golf, and face painting.

Tournament tickets (weekday tickets 10,000 KRW, weekend tickets 20,000 KRW) are sold in advance on the Lotte Open website, and a 20% on-site discount will be offered to Incheon citizens on the day of the tournament.

An official from Incheon City stated, "We will continue to strive to revitalize the local economy and develop Incheon's tourism MICE industry by supporting various sports events linked with MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions)."
