Council member Kang stated, “As the chair of the Industry and Construction Committee, I have been attentive to citizens’ safety and environmental issues and have worked to establish policies to foster strong small business owners in the Gwangju model. I have also been interested in enhancing welfare for local residents through initiatives such as one-on-one support for youth and elderly living alone.”

He added, “Upon learning about the difficulties faced by small business owners in Yangdong Market, we considered solutions together and decided to link corporate resources to provide living expense support. I am grateful to the local companies that extended their support.”
