Busan Port Authority Holds 3rd Container Terminal Operators' CEO Meeting of the Year

Thank You for Cooperation: Busan Port Achieves 88% Electronic Delivery Order Usage Rate at All Terminals

Busan Port Authority (BPA) held the 3rd CEO meeting of Busan Port container terminal operators on the 25th in the main conference room at its headquarters, discussing key BPA policies and current issues.

During this meeting, participants reviewed the progress of the E-Slip (Electronic Delivery Order), which will be fully implemented at all terminals starting in July, and shared insights on global trends such as recent alliance restructuring that has become a major topic in the industry.


In particular, BPA announced at the meeting that, just six months after completing the development of the E-Slip and distributing its mobile app at the end of last year, the usage rate across Busan Port had reached an impressive 88% as of June 24. BPA expressed gratitude to the terminal operators for their cooperation in achieving greater operational efficiency and digital innovation at Busan Port.


BPA also shared updates on the new shipping alliance 'Gemini,' which will be launched in February next year, including the latest movements of the member carriers and response strategies at the terminal operator level. The meeting also included discussions on ways to increase overall cargo volume and enhance productivity at Busan Port through collaborative efforts.


Kang Junseok, President of BPA, shared his impressions from attending the completion ceremony of the Probolinggo Logistics Center in Indonesia, stating, "To solidify Busan Port's status as a logistics hub in Asia, it is essential to strengthen global networking and international cooperation. Based on this experience, I will strive even harder to find ways to enhance our competitiveness."
