This ecological forest trail was created to provide a safe walking environment for visitors to Seolbong Mountain, Yeongwolam, and Seolbong Seowon.
The newly established ecological forest trail is 420 meters long. It features various themes including a resting area next to Woljeon Art Museum, a habitat restoration and ecological education space for the rare firefly species native to Seolbong Mountain, and a deck trail.
The city explained that during the trail construction, they minimized damage to trees, valleys, and plants, ensuring harmony with the surrounding ecological environment. Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon, stated, "The ecological forest trail will transform into a new space where many citizens can become one with nature. We will continue to improve the facilities so that Seolbong Park can become a more pleasant and safe park."
