Hancom announced on the 26th that it will conduct a one-month open beta test (OBT) of 'Hancom Docs AI,' a subscription-based document editing service combined with generative artificial intelligence (AI).
This beta test offers an opportunity to experience Hancom Docs AI ahead of its official launch scheduled for early August. Currently, all paid subscribers of Hancom Docs can directly use the AI features. Hancom plans to enhance the completeness of the released service by reflecting actual user feedback. Additionally, Hancom will hold a subscription event and recruit experience groups to commemorate the OBT until the 26th of next month.
Hancom Docs AI integrates AI technology into Hancom Office documents. Since the closed beta test (CBT) conducted last year, several features have been introduced. A representative feature is the AI-generated quiz function. By simply entering a topic or specifying the scope of questions, the AI analyzes and automatically creates quizzes tailored to the topic.
Another notable feature is that multiple users can simultaneously access and edit AI documents in real time. Several people can check document changes, track statuses, and edit collaboratively. The created documents can be freely shared. The chat window maximizes collaboration capabilities by allowing workers to communicate or check changes made by each contributor. Furthermore, when dealing with very large documents, users can easily identify the desired content through an AI chatbot without reading the entire document, and instantly locate the information. It also includes a tool that separates AI conversation histories by document, enabling tracking and management of conversations related only to the specific document.
Unique functions of Hancom Docs AI have also been verified to improve performance and stability. Among document templates frequently used by office workers and university students, such as resumes, reports, and proposals, users can select the desired format and input the topic and key content to automatically generate a document draft.
Moreover, it offers various AI features including ▲automatic style correction according to context such as formal or informal language ▲table of contents generation ▲continuation writing ▲translation ▲spell checking ▲document summarization. Sentences, tables of contents, images, and charts created in this way are immediately applied to the document, greatly enhancing the efficiency and convenience of document creation.
Meanwhile, Hancom has recently unveiled its AI integrated brand 'Hancom BRAIN' as it accelerates its AI business. The company is building an AI portfolio by expanding into various industrial fields beyond documents, including business intelligence (BI), data visualization, and AI biometric authentication services.
