Starting from the 25th, Seven Eleven will sequentially secure and sell an additional 1 million packs for the second batch.

The product category to which the KBO baseball cards belong, Seven Eleven's toy sales increased about fourfold compared to the same period last year from the 12th to the 25th. According to Seven Eleven, posts from baseball fans seeking cards of their favorite teams or players have also been appearing on various secondhand trading platforms.

As baseball fans flocked to purchase KBO baseball cards, the usage of the Seven Eleven mobile app also increased. According to Seven Eleven, from the 12th to the 25th, when the KBO baseball cards were released, the daily active users (DAU) of the Seven App increased by 20% compared to the same period last year. The search volume for 'Find Products in My Neighborhood,' a feature to check nearby store inventory in the Seven App, also increased up to six times during the same period.

In particular, the Seven Eleven Suwon KT Wiz Main Store recorded the highest sales nationwide by selling up to 8,000 packs of KBO baseball cards daily. Located near 'Suwon KT Wiz Park,' the home stadium of the professional baseball team KT Wiz, this store sold about 30,000 packs of cards by the 25th.

Moon Sohee, assistant manager of the Seven Eleven marketing team, said, "We prepared to allow fans to easily access baseball goods near their homes at a more affordable price amid the high inflation situation, instead of having to go directly to the stadium and pay a significant amount." She added, "Through the release of Daewon Media's KBO Official Collection Card, we hope to boost the momentum toward the upcoming era of 10 million baseball spectators and provide an opportunity for baseball to become a more popular sport."
