Seventeen will attend the UNESCO Youth Ambassador appointment ceremony held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France, on the 26th at 5:30 PM (local time 10:30 AM).

At the event, the members will receive their appointment certificates from Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO headquarters, and deliver a 10-minute acceptance speech. Pledis Entertainment explained that Seventeen and Director-General Audrey Azoulay will also have a brief conversation before the ceremony.

Seventeen will become the first K-pop artists to be official UNESCO ambassadors. This is also the first time UNESCO has appointed ambassadors specifically for youth, its Priority Group.

UNESCO appoints globally renowned figures from various fields as ambassadors to increase worldwide interest and participation in UNESCO’s ideals and activities.

The appointment of these ambassadors has also attracted attention from foreign media. The American music media Billboard reported, "Seventeen has added new glory to their long list of achievements." The British music magazine CLASH quoted Director-General Audrey Azoulay saying, "Seventeen has inspired and encouraged youth worldwide with their music and positive energy."

The leading French daily Le Figaro introduced Seventeen as "one of the most popular groups in the world," highlighting their UNESCO Youth Ambassador appointment ceremony. Another local weekly, Paris Match, explained, "Seventeen has built a rapport with CARAT (their fandom name) through music. They have established themselves as global superstars based on sincerity and talent."

Seventeen’s UNESCO Youth Ambassador appointment ceremony will be broadcast live on UNESCO’s official YouTube channel.
