Joint Logistics Equipment Safe Operation Campaign for Distributors... 9 AM on the 21st, attended by Wholesale Market Corporations, Intermediate Wholesalers, Stevedores Union, and Corporation... Street March and Distribution of Flyers to Promote Safety Awareness among Garak Market Distributors
The Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation (President Moon Young-pyo) conducted a campaign on the 21st to promote the safe operation of logistics transport equipment together with distribution workers within the market.
In the case of Garak Market, about 3,000 distribution workers and dock labor union members currently operate approximately 4,000 logistics equipment individually, resulting in frequent safety accidents of various scales occurring daily.
To raise awareness among logistics equipment operators and prevent safety accidents, a street campaign was carried out to promote the safe operation of logistics transport equipment.
The campaign involved wholesale market corporations, intermediate wholesalers' associations, dock labor unions, and the corporation, who toured the market visiting individual stores to distribute notices on 'Safe Operation of Logistics Transport Equipment' and provide safety guidelines.
In addition to the campaign, the corporation is currently conducting safety education for distribution workers to enhance safety awareness within the market, and from July 1, administrative measures will be enforced against drivers violating safety standards, among other measures to prevent accidents within the market.
To prevent congestion and related accidents caused by individual equipment use within the market, the corporation plans to pilot a joint logistics (joint delivery) system in August this year and officially implement it starting from September, beginning with Vegetable Building 2. Through joint delivery, the number of logistics equipment within the market will be reduced, congestion alleviated, and accidents decreased.
