Changwon Deputy Mayor Cho Myungrae Encourages Participants of the Changwon Special Mayor's Cup, Inspiring Dreams and Hope

Awards Ceremony at the National Shooting Competition

Cho Myungrae, the Second Vice Mayor of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam, attended the finals of the women's university 25m pistol event at the 6th Changwon Special Mayor's National Shooting Competition on the 25th, watched the match, and presented medals to the gold, silver, and bronze medalists.

The medalists are: ▲Yang Jiin from Korea National Sport University (gold medal) ▲Won Chaeun from Nambu University (silver medal) ▲Son Yejin from Chungbuk Boeun Science University (bronze medal).


In particular, Yang Jiin, who claimed the prestigious gold medal, is considered a strong contender for gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics.


Meanwhile, the Changwon Special Mayor's National Shooting Competition was established in 2019 to commemorate the successful hosting of the 2018 World Shooting Championships. Now in its sixth year, it has become a leading national shooting event with over 2,000 athletes participating annually.


This year's competition is especially notable as it is being held ahead of the National Sports Festival in Gyeongnam, attracting many athletes from across the country for intense competition.


Vice Mayor Cho stated, "I hope this competition will be an opportunity for you to fully realize your dreams and hopes. We will do our utmost to support the event so that all participating teams experience no inconvenience."
