Dong-A University Graduate School of Education and Department of Education Sign MOU with Busan Seobu Office of Education

Cooperation in Operating Teacher Training Education and Western Basic Academic Support Center

The Graduate School of Education at Dong-A University (Dean: Cho Gyupan) and the Department of Education have signed a business agreement with the Western Busan Office of Education (Superintendent: Lee Jaehan).

The signing ceremony, held recently at the main conference room of Dong-A University’s Seunghak Campus, was attended by Dean Cho Gyupan, Superintendent Lee Jaehan, Professor Kang Kisoo (Department of Education) at Dong-A University, Director Seol Myungsook of the Education Support Bureau at the Western Busan Office of Education, Director Lee Giljae of the Early Childhood and Elementary Education Support Division, and other officials.

The two institutions will cooperate on joint educational programs, including initiatives to promote educational donations utilizing educational infrastructure, the development and operation of high-quality, practice-oriented programs to enhance pre-service teachers’ understanding of school settings and practical skills, and the “Visiting Learning Clinic” to improve basic academic skills and educational recovery for elementary and middle school students in Seo-gu, Jung-gu, Saha-gu, and Yeongdo-gu.

Dean Cho stated, “I am pleased to sign this agreement with the Western Busan Office of Education at a time when the importance of education is being emphasized,” and added, “I hope this will provide practical support to enhance pre-service teachers’ understanding of school environments and their practical capabilities.”

Superintendent Lee Jaehan said, “We have grown together through various collaborations with Dong-A University, which has produced many talented individuals in the region,” and continued, “I hope this will be a great opportunity for both institutions to work together and provide high-quality education and programs to improve basic academic skills.”
