BNK Financial Group, Busan City, and Pusan National University Sign MOU to Promote Local Data Industry

Collaboration for Building a Data Ecosystem and Fostering Data Convergence Talent

BNK Financial Group (Chairman Bin Daein) signed a business agreement with Busan Metropolitan City and Pusan National University on the 25th at City Hall to vitalize the local data industry.

This agreement was prepared to secure growth engines for the development of the regional digital economy by building an industry-academia-government cooperation ecosystem among Busan's leading institutions, fostering the data industry, creating jobs, and nurturing outstanding talent.

The agreement contains a joint vision and goals to transform Busan into a digital economic city that leaps forward with data through ▲ 'supply' of data for fostering the data industry ▲ 'distribution' of data to vitalize data business ▲ 'utilization' of data to create future-oriented value.

A BNK Financial Group official stated that based on its own data capabilities and know-how, the group will actively participate in supplying financial data, solving local community issues using data, engaging in regional specialized data platforms and data exchanges, and discovering data-based specialized projects, thereby leading innovation in the local data ecosystem.
