C hepatitis is caused by the hepatitis C virus and can lead to acute and chronic liver diseases.
It is transmitted through blood, so infection can occur through contaminated needles, tattoos, or piercing procedures.
Once infected, there is a high risk of progression to cirrhosis or liver cancer, so early detection and treatment are essential.
A representative from Jangseong-gun Public Health Center said, “We hope that through this free C hepatitis screening, people will confirm their infection status and receive necessary treatment in a timely manner.”
