Strengthening Security Inspections to Protect Complainants' Privacy
The West Sea Regional Coast Guard Agency (Chief Kim Inchang) announced on the 25th that it will conduct security inspections to check for illegal wiretapping and hidden camera installations inside and outside the building to protect the privacy of complainants and prevent crimes.
This inspection will primarily focus on areas frequently accessed by complainants and outsiders, such as investigation rooms, complaint offices, and meeting rooms within the building, using wireless wiretapping and hidden camera detectors. It will also be conducted in visitor accommodations (Sukyeonggwan) operated by the West Sea Coast Guard Agency, including guest rooms and restrooms.
The West Sea Coast Guard Agency plans to conduct security inspections regularly to create an environment where complainants and external personnel can visit with peace of mind.
A representative of the West Sea Coast Guard Agency stated, “We are conducting preventive inspections so that employees and visitors can feel safe. We will also strengthen security by simultaneously providing training related to IT, digital systems, and confidential information handling.”
