Choi Tae-won, chairman of SK Group, was recently in the spotlight for the first time since the appellate court ruling on his divorce lawsuit with No So-young, director of Art Center Nabi, as he was seen with his child. On the 6th, an online community post titled "Yesterday I saw Choi Tae-won" was uploaded on the popular forum DC Inside. The post included three photos of Chairman Choi standing on a street in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, posing warmly with a man. The man with his arm around Chairman Choi’s shoulder is Choi In-geun, who was born to Chairman Choi and Director No and currently works as a manager at SK E&S. The meeting took place on the evening of the 5th, after the second trial verdict with Director No was announced.

SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won was seen with his children for the first time since the appeal trial ruling of his divorce lawsuit with Noh So-young, director of the Art Center Nabi, on the 30th of last month, which has recently become a topic of discussion online.

Netizens commented on the post with remarks such as "The father and son really look exactly alike," "Did he submit a petition? It’s a huge twist to see them getting along so well," and "Blood is thicker than water, they look like carbon copies." Previously, in 2022, Chairman Choi had also shared a photo with In-geun on his social media, captioning it "Tennis father and son, 4-hour game, 3621 kcal burned."

Choi’s eldest son, born in 1995, majored in physics at Brown University in the United States. After completing an internship at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), he joined SK E&S as a new employee in the strategic planning team in 2020. Since 2023, he has been transferred to 'Passkey,' SK E&S’s North American business division, where he participates in energy solutions projects within the U.S.

Meanwhile, on the 24th, Chairman Choi decided to seek a separate Supreme Court ruling after disagreeing with the appellate court’s correction (revision) of the divorce lawsuit verdict with Director No. His legal team filed a petition for re-appeal against the correction decision with the Family Division 2 of the Seoul High Court (Presiding Judges Kim Si-cheol, Kim Ok-gon, and Lee Dong-hyun). Chairman Choi’s lawyer explained, "This error is not something that can be resolved by simply correcting the verdict; it affects the substance of the verdict’s content, so we intend to seek the Supreme Court’s judgment." As a result, the Supreme Court will now review not only the main appeal of the divorce lawsuit but also the re-appeal regarding the correction decision of the verdict.
