Korea Federation of SMEs Selects 'Proud Small Business Person' for Q2 2024
The Korea Federation of SMEs and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 25th that they have selected Jeong Hye-young, CEO of IMP, and Jo Jae-gon, CEO of Agricultural Corporation Yeongpung, as the "Proud Small Business Owners" for the second quarter of 2024. The "Proud Small Business Owners" is a system established by the Korea Federation of SMEs and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to discover and reward outstanding entrepreneurs who have contributed to the development of national industries through management rationalization, export increase, technology development, and more, in order to promote exemplary small business owners awards.
Jung Hye-young, CEO of IMP
IMP is a company that develops, manufactures, and sells integrated broadcasting systems capable of delivering various information at the desired place and time by customers. Founded in 2007, it leads the public procurement market in the fields of sound, video, and broadcasting. Since her appointment in 2011, CEO Jeong Hye-young has been practicing ethics, quality, and environmental management with the goal of customer satisfaction, and has secured innovative technological capabilities through the establishment of a corporate research institute and continuous investment in research and development.
Joaegon Yeongpung CEO
Agricultural Corporation Yeongpung is a company that has commercialized convenience foods such as Tteokbokki and Buchimgae, exporting products to over 100 countries worldwide, leading the globalization of Korean cuisine and growing into a global food company. It received the 20 million USD Export Tower award in 2022. The flagship product, Tteokbokki, was developed in the early 2010s and has seen gradually expanding export demand, accounting for about 27% of the domestic Tteokbokki export value last year. CEO Jo Jae-gon has been striving for technological and quality innovation for approximately 30 years and 8 months since founding Yeongpung Mulsan in 1993.
