Marine and Forest Healing Facility Experience and Meeting Held at Wando Marine Healing Center and Others
Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 25th that it conducted a 1-night, 2-day marine healing fam tour for travel agency representatives from the 19th to the 20th.
This fam tour was organized to widely promote the excellence of Wando’s marine and forest healing facilities and to attract healing tourists by having travel agency representatives experience marine and forest healing and then develop unique tourism products.

The 18 travel agency representatives who participated in the fam tour visited the Wando Marine Healing Center, the Marine Climate and Marine Culture Healing Center, and the Yaksan Coastal Healing Forest.
On the first day, they spent a healing time experiencing marine healing such as thalasso pool, mud therapy, seaweed spa therapy, and low-frequency therapy at the Wando Marine Healing Center, designated as a ‘2024 Excellent Wellness Tourism Destination’ by the Korea Tourism Organization.
On the second day, they did Nordic walking utilizing the marine climate at Sinji Myeongsasimni Beach, and at the Marine Culture Healing Center’s tactile and gustatory halls, they engaged in activities such as making scenery magnets and loquat jam using the five senses and Wando’s specialized resources.
They then concluded the schedule with forest trail walking, singing bowl meditation, and drinking camellia flower tea at the Yaksan Coastal Healing Forest, where marine and forest healing can be experienced simultaneously.

Additionally, a meeting was held to revitalize Wando’s marine healing industry and tourism. During the meeting, travel agency support policies were introduced, and discussions on developing and marketing Wando marine healing tourism products took place, along with active discussions on ways to revitalize the Wando Marine Healing Center and Wando tourism.
The travel agency representatives agreed, “We will actively promote the Wando Marine Healing Center so that it can establish itself as a representative healing destination in Korea, and we will do our best to collaborate with the county to develop tourism products.”
A county official stated, “We will cooperate with travel agencies to develop and promote tourism products so that visitors to Wando can heal their body and mind through marine and forest healing, and we will strive to revitalize the marine healing and tourism industries.”
