Earlier, the National Assembly Science, Technology, Information and Broadcasting and Communications Committee (STIBC) decided to summon CEO Seo as a witness to the plenary session today (25th) for urgent questioning.

Regarding this, CEO Seo told this outlet in a phone interview that he was "considering (attending the plenary session)," but it is reported that he has decided not to attend. A StageX official stated, "Due to preparations for the hearing related to the cancellation of the frequency allocation for the corporation scheduled on the 27th, CEO Seo's attendance at the STIBC has become difficult."

The STIBC plenary session at 2 p.m. today will proceed as scheduled. Minister Lee Jong-ho and 2nd Vice Minister Kang Do-hyun of the Ministry of Science and ICT will attend. The opposition is expected to question them about the process of selecting the 4th mobile carrier.

Opposition members of the STIBC, including the Democratic Party and the People's Innovation Party, are asserting government responsibility for the crisis of the 4th mobile carrier's launch failure. They plan to investigate the government's background in pushing the selection of the 4th mobile carrier and to scrutinize whether the financial and technical capabilities of StageX were verified in advance.

Meanwhile, Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon is also expected not to attend the plenary session as a witness today. The opposition planned to question CEO Choi regarding the so-called 'Line Yahoo incident.'
