Tax Concerns Cleared... Yeongdeungpo-gu Conducts 'Visiting Tax Consultation'

Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that it will conduct a "Visiting Tax Consultation" ahead of the July property tax payment to resolve tax-related questions and fulfill taxpayers' right to know.

For residents who find it difficult to receive consultations due to busy daily lives or financial reasons, "Village Tax Accountants" visit multi-use facilities directly to provide pro bono tax consultations.

The upcoming "Visiting Tax Consultation" will be held on the 28th at the Yeongdeungpo 50 Plus Center, which supports life redesign for middle-aged and older adults.

The consultation covers general matters related to national and local taxes. Residents can consult Village Tax Accountants on everyday questions such as ▲tax filing and payment methods ▲exemption systems ▲ways to reduce taxes including value-added tax, inheritance and gift tax ▲and remedies for unfair tax assessments.

Since starting at the Seonyudo Station Alley Shopping District in April, the district will continue the "Visiting Tax Consultation" at welfare centers, apartment complexes, and other locations through the end of the year. This aims to lower the barriers to tax consultation and resolve tax concerns for busy residents. Merchants who received consultations have received clear answers on how to correct comprehensive income tax due to missing sales evidence and how to claim refunds for missed deductions during year-end tax settlements.

Additionally, the district operates various taxpayer-centered tax administrations to resolve residents' tax inquiries and provide convenience, including ▲Kakao Channel consultation window ▲large-print tax notices ▲delivering delinquency information via KakaoTalk ▲and refund notification services.

Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, stated, "We will promote visiting tax consultations through the end of the year to provide accurate and satisfying solutions to residents struggling with tax issues, including youth, seniors, and workers," and added, "We will carry out impressive tax administration that approaches residents more closely to enhance taxpayer rights and protect their interests."
