‘Extra Round Defeat’ Kim Juhyung, World Ranking 26th → 16th

Travelers Championship Runner-up Jumps 10 Spots

In the men's golf weekly world rankings announced on the afternoon of the 23rd (local time), he earned 3.58 points, jumping 10 spots from 26th place last week. He accumulated points by finishing as the runner-up after a playoff in the prestigious PGA Tour event, the Travelers Championship (total prize money of $20 million), held at TPC River Highlands (par 70, 6,835 yards) in Cromwell, Connecticut, USA, which concluded that morning. He achieved his best personal result this year and received runner-up prize money of $2.16 million (approximately 3 billion KRW). Kim Joo-hyung’s highest personal ranking was 11th in December last year.


Scotty Scheffler (USA), who secured his 6th win of the season at the Travelers Championship, firmly maintained his No. 1 position. Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Xander Schauffele, Ludvig ?berg (Sweden), and Wyndham Clark (USA) held the 2nd to 5th places respectively. US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau (USA) rose one spot to 9th, and Jon Rahm (Spain) is 10th.


Im Sung-jae, who tied for 3rd place at the Travelers Championship, climbed 6 spots from 34th to 28th. An Byeong-hun is 30th, and Kim Si-woo is ranked 46th. Kim Min-kyu, last week’s winner of the Kolon 66th Korean Open, jumped 182 spots from 419th to 237th.
